Are dome cameras suitable for outdoors?
Yes. Weatherproof (IP66/IP67) outdoor dome models are built for the UAE climate and are ideal for entrances, balconies and covered areas. For fully exposed long-range perimeters, a bullet or turret camera is often a better fit.
Can you tell which way a dome camera is pointing?
Not easily – the tinted dome hides the lens direction, which is one of the main security advantages of domes and makes them harder to avoid or tamper with.
What does IK10 vandal resistance mean?
IK10 is the highest impact-protection rating, meaning the housing withstands heavy strikes. It is recommended for schools, car parks, public areas and any low-mounted camera exposed to tampering.
Dome vs bullet – which is better?
Domes are best for discreet indoor coverage and vandal resistance; bullets are best for visible deterrence and long-range outdoor views. Most sites use a mix, and we recommend the right blend during the free survey.
Do dome cameras have night vision?
Yes. Our dome cameras include infrared (IR) or full-colour low-light night vision, with range matched to each location during design.
Are dome cameras SIRA approved?
Yes. We design and configure dome camera systems to SIRA (Dubai) and ADMCC (Abu Dhabi) standards and manage the approval process where required.
