Are bullet cameras weatherproof?
Yes. Our outdoor bullet cameras are rated IP66/IP67 and built for the UAE climate – heat, dust and rain – with sun-shields to reduce glare and heat build-up.
How far can a bullet camera see?
It depends on the lens. A wide 2.8mm lens is best up to about 10m, while a varifocal or long lens can give usable detail up to 50m or more. We size the lens to each viewing distance during the free survey.
Bullet vs dome – which is better for outdoors?
Bullets are usually better outdoors: they offer longer range, easier aiming and a visible deterrent. Domes and turrets suit discreet or vandal-prone areas. Most sites use a combination.
Do bullet cameras work at night?
Yes. Bullet cameras have strong infrared (IR) night vision – often 30-80m – and full-colour low-light (ColorVu/Starlight) models are available where colour detail at night matters.
Can bullet cameras be vandalised?
Because they are visible and often within reach, we mount them high and can add protective housings. For high-risk, low-level positions we usually recommend vandal-proof domes or turrets instead.
Are bullet cameras SIRA compliant?
Yes. We design and configure bullet camera systems to SIRA (Dubai) and ADMCC (Abu Dhabi) standards, including resolution and retention, and handle approvals where required.
